Top of the Line Farms will be offering two new programs PROGRAM #1:A board and training package at a reduced rate for people who purchase a foal or horse from our ranch. PROGRAM #2: A formal training/lesson program at the ranch. PROGRAM 1: 1. Any foal purchased will automatically qualify for a month board and 4 free lessons a month. Board is $150 per month and that includes your lessons. The lessons will consist of learning to care for, train, load, bath and safely enjoy your new foal. The foal will stay on a good growth feeding program and you will learn from our farrier how to properly care for and keep you foals feet in good order. As the foal gets older this will expand into lessons on ground work, saddling, bridling and preparing your yearling for show. 2. Any older horse purchased will automatically qualify for a month board program and 4 free lessons a month. Board is $250 per month and that includes your lessons. The lessons will consist of learning to properly ride, care for, expand the training on, bath, show and enjoy your horse. The lessons will be based on your level of skill the the skill of the horse you choose to purchase to be your companion. PROGRAM 2: We will be offering a horse-less lesson program for people who don't want to own or can't own a horse but do want to learn to ride and be around horses. This program will include monthly lessons suitable to the person's skills and desire. 4. Lesson costs: (purchase a package of 5 lessons and get one free!) WORK TO LEARN needs a 3-4 hour time commitment. You will work with horses, tack and daily chores for 1-2 hours before your lesson (brushing horses, cleaning tack, imprinting foals, cleaning stalls, blanketing horses, bathing horses etc.) The lesson begins and will take between 1-2 hours. Lessons are only $20 per person for the winter and $25 per person during the summer. The lesson group will not be more than 5 people. If you want a semi-private lesson the cost is $35 per person. If you are an intermediate rider or above and want a private lesson the cost is $55 Lesson costs with NO WORK included. You need to schedule 1-2 hours time. Group $35 Semi-private $45 Private (intermediate and above riders only) $55. 5. Assisted riding: We will share the joy of riding with anyone of any ability in a safe and secure setting. Our assisted riding program features stairs for ease of mounting and we will be putting in a wheel chair ramp this spring. We have horses that are calm and secure for riders who have limited balance and you don't need to have any experience with horses. We will help you learn and enjoy the freedom of riding. The assisted riding program is a one on one situation. Each rider is assisted by 2-3 people who are happy to share their love of the horse and skills to make your ride totally enjoyable. Call for more information. Cost is $20 per ride. We have a wide range of teachers available for intermediate and above riders. You can choose to learn cutting, team sorting, dressage, jumping and english or western pleasure. We will fit you to the teacher that fits you best. Monthly packages can be purchased as a gift. Email and ask us about giving lessons as a gift! Anyone can participate. My absolutely wonderful mother is in a walker and uses a scooter to get around and our gift to her was this beautiful animal called the Haflinger. She is now riding daily, safely and VERY happy. We do have mounting blocks and will be building a wheel chair ramp soon. If you want to ride don't feel you have limits!!
